Historical train, Harzer Schmalspurbahnen GmbH

IFS Design looked after the interior reconstruction of this historical train. For the operator, the Harz Narrow-Gauge Railway, a very important aspect was historical accuracy in the fitting out. For this reason, materials and colours were already very largely laid down. It was possible to rescue many of the interior fittings which were restored and reinstalled. IFS Design co-ordinated the new manufacture of worn-out items and installing modern media for the benefit of tourist operation. The functionality of the interior was thus further optimised. In addition, care was taken that the fundamental classic appearance of the carriages was preserved. The project serves as a CI-pattern for future HSB vehicle refurbishments.

In the context of maintenance measures, these vehicles will be rebuilt one by one.
