Compartment coach, ŽOS Trnava, a.s.

IFS Design was responsible for the interior design of the new generation of compartment coaches for the Slovakian Railways (ZSSK). The existing fleet of rolling stock is being modernised by ZOS TRNAVA AG. All areas in the carriages have a timeless design and provide much-enhanced levels of passenger comfort.
Design work was extremely complicated. The vehicles have five 6-seater compartments, an open saloon seating twelve, a compartment for the train conductor, a generously-dimensioned entrance vestibule in which bicycles are also accommodated and a compartment for wheelchair users. There is also a large toilet for the use of all passengers.
