Double-decker train, Bombardier Transportation GmbH

The double-decker train “Twin” is a study for the development of a new generation of double-decker passenger coaches for the Deutsche Bahn AG. The entire method of construction was revised to allow modular integration of the interior fitting components. The scope of work involved in this project included building a full-scale mock-up of a section of a carriage with its metal construction. The model was first put on show to the public in 1998 at the InnoTrans international exhibition.
